These grants will support Colorado communities interested in starting or growing local and regional semiconductor and advanced industries, including support for 15 counties and two tribes across Colorado, from Archuleta to Routt to Yuma counties. **“Colorado’s semiconductor ecosystem is primed for growth from within. By supporting its expansion in more parts of the state, we can help more Colorado communities leverage this opportunity and grow the state’s semiconductor industry,”** said OEDIT Executive Director, Eve Lieberman. **“The grants announced today support our work to build a Colorado for All, helping communities across the state diversify their economies and benefit from the good-paying jobs these industries provide.”** The Semiconductor Industry Association places Colorado in the top 10 states with the resources and business ecosystem to support a strong semiconductor industry. [The Colorado CHIPS Community Support program](https://oedit.colorado.gov/press-release/growing-colorados-semiconductor-industry-new-grant-program-looks-to-expand-industry) is one of several state programs launched by the Polis Administration to strategically grow Colorado’s semiconductor and advanced industry ecosystems, including the [CHIPS Refundable Tax Credits](https://oedit.colorado.gov/press-release/growing-colorados-semiconductor-industry-polis-administration-capturing-federal-chips) and [CHIPS Zones](https://oedit.colorado.gov/chips-zones-program). The Colorado CHIPS Community Support Program was designed to foster the expansion of Colorado’s existing semiconductor and advanced industries while supporting their growth in new and emerging markets, including rural development. **“Colorado was ahead of the curve prioritizing the semiconductor industry for growth. Critical and emerging technologies are significant economic drivers and this funding opportunity helps to advance the goals of local economies outside of the front range,”** said Michelle Hadwiger, Director of OEDIT’s Global Business Development (GBD) Division.       [Read The Full Article](https://oedit.colorado.gov/press-release/growing-colorados-semiconductor-and-advanced-industry-ecosystems-five-new-market) ## Recommended For You [![](https://rcedp.org/hubfs/Untitled%20design-3.png)](https://rcedp.org/news/the-vital-role-of-agriculture) 1 Min Read ### [The Vital Role of Agriculture in Northwest Colorado’s Economy](https://rcedp.org/news/the-vital-role-of-agriculture) [![Picture of Steamboat Pilot & Today](https://rcedp.org/hubfs/P%26T%20Logo.jpg) Steamboat Pilot & Today April 10, 2025 at 6:30 PM](https://rcedp.org/news/author/steamboat-pilot-today) [![](https://rcedp.org/hubfs/Hayden-power-plant-and-cows-in-winter-CROPPED-1024x638-1.jpg)](https://rcedp.org/news/high-altitude-geothermal) 1 Min Read ### [Northwest Colorado residents make transition to new work after coal industry careers](https://rcedp.org/news/high-altitude-geothermal) [![Picture of Craig Daily Press](https://rcedp.org/hubfs/Craig%20Daily%20Press%20-%20Logo.png) Craig Daily Press March 13, 2025 at 6:00 PM](https://rcedp.org/news/author/craig-daily-press) [![](https://rcedp.org/hubfs/Click%20Medical%20World%20Trade-1.jpg)](https://rcedp.org/news/innovative-steamboat-springs-prosthetics-company-receives-award-for-excellence-in-exporting) 2 Min Read ### [Innovative Steamboat Springs Prosthetics Company Receives Award for Excellence in Exporting](https://rcedp.org/news/innovative-steamboat-springs-prosthetics-company-receives-award-for-excellence-in-exporting) [![Picture of State of Colorado](https://rcedp.org/hubfs/State%20Logo%20-%20social.jpg) State of Colorado May 26, 2025 at 7:00 AM](https://rcedp.org/news/author/state-of-colorado) #### Stay Connected Get the latest local business resources and stay informed about long-term economic sustainability initiatives. --- ![logo-white](https://rcedp.org/hubfs/logo-white.png) Routt County, Colorado +1 (970) 717-0721 [info@rcedp.org](mailto:info@rcedp.org) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/RCEDP) [Follow us on LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/routt-county-economic-development-partnership/) [Follow us on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/rc_edp/) [Follow us on Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/user/31yb7rxgbioad423hr67hisepumu?si=1c120763ec024429) - [Events](https://lu.ma/rcedp) - [Entrepreneurship](https://rcedp.org/entrepreneurship-center) - [Business Support](https://rcedp.org/business-retention-expansion) - [Key Industries](https://rcedp.org/key-industries) - [Yampa Valley](https://rcedp.org/overview) - [Data](https://rcedp.org/data/communities) - [News](https://rcedp.org/news) - [About Us](https://rcedp.org/partnership) - [Donate](https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/Routt-County-Economic-Development-Partnership) Copyright © 2024 Routt County Economic Development Partnership [Privacy Policy](https://rcedp.org/privacypolicy) | [Terms and Conditions](https://rcedp.org/termsandconditions) ```json { "@context" : "https://schema.org", "@type" : "BlogPosting", "author" : { "@type" : "Person", "name" : "State of Colorado", "url" : "https://rcedp.org/news/author/state-of-colorado" }, "dateModified" : "2025-06-17T23:38:50.202Z", "datePublished" : "2025-03-05T17:30:00.000Z", "headline" : "Colorado Awards Grants to Boost Semiconductor Industry Statewide", "image" : [ "https://rcedp.org/hubfs/AI-Generated%20Media/Images/Colorado%20advanced%20industries%20and%20manufacturing.jpeg" ], "mainEntityOfPage" : { "@id" : "https://rcedp.org/news/colorado-awards-grants", "@type" : "WebPage" }, "publisher" : { "@type" : "Organization", "logo" : { "@type" : "ImageObject", "url" : "https://rcedp.org/hubfs/RCEDP-logo-color.png" }, "name" : "Routt County Economic Development Partnership" } } ```
