Seven Routt County startup businesses marked completion of the Routt County Economic Development Partnership’s High Country Accelerator program with The Boat Launch, a public pitch event held this spring, according to a statement released Wednesday.
The High Country Accelerator provides local entrepreneurs with mentorship, resources and tools to help launch and grow businesses, aiming to diversify the county’s economy. The program is made possible through RCEDP’s public and private partners, donors and a grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs.
Over three months, participants refined their business models and presented ideas ranging from a ski company to a technology nonprofit, wildfire mitigation service and a student benefits platform. The showcase drew community members and investors alike for pitches and discussion.
