The Yampa Valley Entrepreneurship Center (YVEC), building a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, is on the hunt for a dynamic leader. This is an opportunity to champion and grow a vibrant community of entrepreneurs and small businesses in northwest Colorado.

The Role

As the YVEC Manager, you will be the champion supporting startups and small businesses in the Yampa Valley. This full-time, exempt position reports directly to the RCEDP Executive Director and offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $60,000, dependent on qualifications.

Responsibilities

The YVEC Manager will be responsible for:

• Program Management: Oversee YVEC programs, including a startup accelerator with pitch competitions.
• Business Coaching: Guide entrepreneurs and small business owners through ideation, launch, and growth.
• Community Building: Foster a welcoming and inclusive entrepreneurial network with events and activities.
• Education: Develop and deliver workshops on relevant business topics.
• Access to Capital: Assist with financial forecasting and connect entrepreneurs to funding sources.
• Partnership Development: Secure valuable partnerships to support entrepreneurs and small businesses.
• Data-driven Decisions: Track progress, measure impact, and inform strategic planning.
• Communication: Share YVEC updates and successes through various channels.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• Entrepreneurial or small business management experience.
• A passion for building relationships with entrepreneurs and small business owners.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and adaptability skills.
• Tech-savviness with Google Workspace, HubSpot, etc.
• An understanding of entrepreneurial ecosystem development and business planning.
• Residency in or the ability to relocate to Routt County.
