Steamboat Springs Airport/ Bob Adams Field (SBS), located 2.5 miles north of downtown Steamboat Springs, is a general aviation airport with over 12,000 operations per year. These operations include private, recreational, training, corporate, business, medical evacuation, and firefighting by based and transient airplanes and helicopters.

Bustang and Snowstang
There are two regional bus services connecting the Yampa Valley to the Denver Metro Area. These two services, Bustang and Snowstang, are provided by the Colorado Department of Transportation. Bustang's route extends from Craig, CO to Union Station in downtown Denver, with a connection to Denver International Airport via the A Line commuter rail.

Yampa Valley Electric Association (YVEA) is a member-owned electric cooperative serving nearly 27,000 customers over 2,840 miles of line covering a 7,000 square mile service territory that includes the communities of Baggs and Savery, Wyoming; Craig, Hayden, Steamboat Springs, and Yampa, Colorado.
Atmos Energy has grown from 279,000 customers in 1983 to more than 3 million customers today - mainly by acquiring utility assets. The company has regulated utility operations in Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
In 2017, with grant funding from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs and cash and in-kind contributions from project partners, NCB completed a 12-mile fiber optic network, including a 288-strand trunk running between east and west Steamboat Springs, with laterals connecting community anchor institution facilities throughout the community. In 2018, NCB acquired additional fiber and conduit in downtown Steamboat Springs, adding to the capacity of its open access network. In 2021, NCB entered into an indefeasible right of use agreement with Yampa Valley Electric Association, allowing Luminate Broadband, a wholly owned subsidiary of YVEA, to use the bulk of NCB's fiber assets to expand community broadband service.
The Yampa Valley Electric Association founded Luminate in 2019 with the belief the communities of the Yampa Valley require a world-class telecommunications capability to remain vital, and the knowledge that if they didn’t provide it, no one else would.
Service to community is Luminate’s highest calling. Its dedicated employees are determined to build a 100% fiber optic network, delivering opportunities for commerce, healthcare, education, entertainment, and more. With the backing of YVEA, Luminate is creating the telecommunications infrastructure necessary to sustain vibrant communities for decades to come.
