With backgrounds spanning small business, entrepreneurship, the private sector, and public service, our staff brings practical experience and a broad perspective to the work. We are connected by a shared belief in this community and a commitment to helping its people, businesses, and innovative ideas succeed.
Executive Director
John Bristol, MPA, CEcD
John, a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), is proud to call the Yampa Valley home, where his great-grandparents homesteaded, his grandparents met, his father was born, and generations of his family worked in ranching, coal, and other local businesses. He embraces mountain life through backpacking, camping, fishing, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Keith Hensley, CEcD, AASBC
Keith, a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), is a life-long Coloradan and has called the Yampa Valley home since 2015. He is passionate about the environment and dedicated to helping businesses stay, expand, and thrive in the Yampa Valley. Outside of work, Keith enjoys climbing, fishing, biking, backpacking, snowboarding, and backcountry touring.
Managing Director
John Maurer
John is passionate about building the Yampa Valley’s entrepreneurial community. A marketing technologist and strategist, he brings more than a decade of experience helping businesses succeed through data and customer insight. He supports local founders and small businesses with practical strategies. John enjoys taking advantage of the Yampa Valley’s many outdoor activities.
